Keene Valley Rock Climbing






























Trip Description:
Keene Valley Rock Climbing is a 3-day and 2-night trip in the heart of the Adirondacks. Our days will be filled with basic climbing safety, skills and technique, and of course fun! The trip is lead by three avid rock climbing instructors, certified in wilderness first aid.  This is a great opportunity to climb some of the best rock and classic climbs of the Northeast. Summer Reed

Summer Reed is currently a senior at Green Mountain College pursuing a degree in Adventure Education and a minor in Psychology.  Her outdoor interests are rock climbing, backcountry skiing, backpacking, and trail running.  She is a Wilderness First Responder. As soon as the rocks are dry, Summer will be preparing to complete the American Mountain Guide Association’s Single Pitch Instructor course in May.  She has experience leading rock-climbing trips at her previous employment in the Adirondacks and as a leader for Green Mountain Adventure Program.  She is looking forward to sharing her love of climbing with a new group this May!


Tom Colgan

Tom's father first exposed him to the great outdoors on weekend trips to the Appalachian Mountain Club's huts in New Hampshire's White Mountains.  Ever since he has been eager to learn all he can about backpacking, canoeing, sea kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking, ice climbing, sailing, and mountaineering.  Tom is currently a senior in Green Mountain College's Adventure Education program, and cannot wait to go rock climbing with you this spring!

Nick Rushford

Nick Rushford is a junior in the Adventure Education program at Green Mountain College. Nick is an avid rock climber and telemark skier and loves recreating. Last summer,  Nick worked as a sea kayak guide in Martha’s Vineyard. This May, Nick will be taking his American Mountain Guide Association, Single Pitch Instructor Course and hopes to guide rock climbing this summer. Nick hopes to share his love of climbing with you this May!
