Mountain Biking

Trip Description:
This course will take place at one of central Vermont's mountain biking trail systems.  The trip will take place over the course of three days and two nights.  Students will actively participate in single track mountain bike riding and mechanical lessons.  The students will camp with small peer groups and ride as a group with several instructors.

    Alex has been consumed by mountain biking and other adventure sports and is always excited to share his experience and knowledge with others. He has a lot of interest in the mechanical aspect of cycling.  Alex looks forward to the opportunity to help lead this course and is looking forward to meeting you all.

    Alan Burnell

    Alan Burnell is a bike mechanic at Green Mountain College's Bike shop and an avid rider.  He enjoys mountain biking with friends at Pine Hill Park in Rutland, VT and is always willing to help fix a bike problem.  Alan enjoys spending the cold winter months Ice climbing or skiing while waiting for the warm riding season.  



    Mike Kearns

    Mike Kearns is a junior in the Adventure Education program. He has ridden various mountain biking trails across Vermont and Massachusetts. Finding new places to ride and meeting others who are enthusiastic about mountain biking are some of Mike’s favorite things in life.



    Jon Arena

    Jon is a junior here at Green Mountain College with experience leading trips in a variety of outdoor activities. He is an avid mountain biker and paddler who uses Vermont's natural landscapes to their fullest. It is his experience with the Adventure Education major that will ensure a safe and fun time on the mountain biking course this May.
